At last – discreet style for folding door locks

10 December 2010

Centor has released ‘Twinpoint’ the first folding door-specific lock for timber doors for the UK market. As an alternative to face fixed dropbolts, locking for folding doors is now both convenient and discreet. Twinpoint’s elegant central handle operates concealed top and bottom bolts, securing doors in one simple movement.

As folding doors have become increasingly popular in residential and commercial buildings, so consumers’ demands have become higher. Centor Europe’s General Manager Peter Watkins said, “Twinpoint is the perfect combination of style, function and security that manufacturers and homeowners have been looking for.”

Mr Watkins added “Twinpoint effortlessly locks doors up to 4 m tall with just the twist of a handle. Engineered to withstand the unique demands of folding doors, mechanisms are easily installed, robust, yet remain a delight to use – the hallmark of Centor systems.”

Centor Twinpoint’s contemporary style is clean and elegant and although the low profile handle was specially designed to allow folding sliding doors to stack neatly, it is also an effective locking solution for French and sliding doors.

A version for aluminium doors will be available in 2011.
