Why choose Centor folding systems?

You will be delighted with your choice of doors and windows moved by Centor for many reasons. Centor folding systems are reliable, secure and weatherproof, offer complete design freedom and can be operated with just the touch of a fingertip. These benefits are brought about by one of the largest Research and Development teams in the industry and a commitment to innovation and quality.

Centor invented the weather-sealing system that allowed folding doors to be used externally for the first time. Choosing Centor means you are choosing the original and best folding door system available, backed by many successful years in the field, exhaustive testing, and a 10-year warranty.

Can I buy doors from Centor?

Centor creates the systems for folding doors, but not the door panels themselves. Choosing folding doors moved by Centor ensures your doors will operate with just a fingertip, while being reliable, secure, weatherproof and versatile. You can buy doors and windows moved by Centor hardware from window and door joiners and fabricators. You can find your nearest manufacturer by calling us on 0121 701 2500.

Where can I buy doors moved by Centor?

You can buy doors and windows moved by Centor hardware from door and window manufacturers across Great Britain and Europe. To find your nearest, call us on 0121 701 2500.

What do I do if my doors have stopped moving smoothly?

A building’s movement, shrinking or swelling in wood, or an opening not being plumb and square can affect the operation of folding doors. All Centor folding hardware can be adjusted horizontally and vertically to compensate for these issues – a feature unique to Centor folding systems. Centor recommends you speak with the company that built your doors or engage a qualified tradesperson to adjust your doors.

Are doors using Centor systems weather-sealed?

Yes. Centor invented the first folding system to meet weather-sealing standards, allowing them to be used externally for the first time. All Centor systems use this technology, patented by Centor in 1998, with complete door systems tested to the relevant standards. Centor’s E4 folding system has passed Miami-Dade County hurricane testing, the most stringent weather testing in the world.

Who should install Centor systems?

Centor recommends you use a qualified tradesperson to install your Centor folding door system. Your door manufacturer may be able to either offer an installation service or direct you to qualified tradespeople in your area. You can also find contractors in the phone book, online or in printed advertisements. You should consult the relevant government body to ensure the contractor you hire to install your doors is appropriately licensed.

What maintenance is required?

Centor systems require just simple maintenance. In general, all that is required is regular cleaning to keep components clear of grit, and occasional lubrication. For full details, visit our Maintenance page.

Do Centor folding systems come with a warranty?
